Meet Isaac
Isaac, the eldest son of Ngun Thawng of (Ruahkhua) and Te Boih (From Dawn), grew up in the vibrant city of Khampat. From an early age, he embraced the values of hard work and responsibility as the oldest of three siblings. At just 15, Isaac bravely left his whole family for Malaysia in 2009, where he spent five years working hard to support himself and his family back home. In 2014, he moved to the United States, settling first in the Quad Cities for seven years before making Milwaukee, Wisconsin, his home for the past four years.

Despite the distance, his heart remains deeply connected to his family in Burma, whose love and support continue to inspire him every day.

Our Story
It all began on February 16, 2015, when Isaac sent Zing a simple message. From that very first chat, something felt different — like a spark had been lit. But about 40 days later, Zing suddenly disappeared from social media without a word.
Then, in April 2015, she returned, and it was as if no time had passed at all. The conversations picked up right where we left off, and a beautiful connection began to grow. On August 21, 2015, at exactly 12:07 AM, we finally confessed our feelings for each other — and that was the moment our love story truly began.
For nearly four years, we nurtured our bond from afar — through countless long-distance calls, late-night texts, and shared dreams. Finally, on December 12, 2018, we met in person for the very first time in Charlotte, NC — a moment we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
Our journey hasn’t always been easy. Like any couple, we’ve faced challenges, disagreements, silence, and the ache of being miles apart. Many doubted us, saying long-distance relationships never last. But together, we proved them wrong — we beat the odds.
Through it all, our love has only grown stronger. More than a decade since that first conversation, here we are — ready to step into forever. On September 6, 2025, we will finally say “I do,” making the dream we’ve held onto for so long a reality. We can’t wait to celebrate the start of this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.
“Every day I hope, dream, and believe that one day we will be together and truly happy” -Zing, October 2015
We are overjoyed to share our journey with you as we approach this special day in our lives!
